Since QuiltCon was in Phoenix in 2022 we wanted to represent our beautiful desert environment.
The challenge for this quilt was to avoid 90 degree angles. The center compass is surrounded by
cactus (Anneliese’s “Transplant” pattern), quail (using Jane’s pattern), Gila woodpeckers (designed
by Sue) and hummingbirds (using DJ Masters’ pattern www.etsy.com/ca/shop/quiltuniverse). Bailey
‘s spectacular ice dyed ombre fabric was used for the sunset surrounding the medallion.
